The William Hill Poker room has always been one of our favourites. It's a great place for newcomers and experienced players alike, and a recent overhaul of the software from the bottom up has made the best even better. To start with, the main lobby is a lot easier to use, and new options allow you to find the kind of table you are interested in faster than ever before. Another great feature is a completely separate lobby for tournament games. This provides much more information about tournaments than previously, including a complete prize payout structure for each tourney. You can play in pounds sterling, US dollars or euros, and there is now a wider range of games on offer. Play Texas Hold'em cash games (blinds from 25p to £150) with pot-limit, no-limit or no-limit variants. Play multi-table tournaments, sit and go tourneys or go one-on-one for instant heads-up action. If you prefer Omaha or Seven Card Stud then that's no problem either, as both games are offered with a similar variety of limits and options as Hold'em. You can even play Hold'em Blackjack The game tables have also been improved. William Hill Poker graphics were always superb, but now they're almost a work of art, giving you the impression of playing under a spotlight in a darkened room. Players can now choose to upload an image of their own that is used to represent them at the table. If you don't choose to take advantage of this then a gold WH placemarker will be used instead. The play interface has been improved to make seeing the actions of others and making actions of your own a lot easier. You will now find a "fold to any bet" check box alongside the usual, check, bet and fold options. This allows you to take action as soon as you've decided that a hand really isn't worth calling with, though obviously you could still limp through if nobody else bets. A range of promotions and events, including
getting paid £5 per hour to play poker (up to £25 per month)
and tournaments worth $1million each week, tops off a perfectly formed
poker room, and an extremely high standard of customer service ensures
you'll never have anything to complain about. |
