UK Poker Player Claimed Pokers Triple Crown at the WSOP

On Saturday night a UK Poker player claimed poker’s Triple Crown at the WSOP.  Roland De Wolfe became the second poker player in history to complete poker’s Triple Crown by winning the Pot Limit Omaha High-Low Split Eight or Better, adding this win to his European Poker Tour and World Poker Tour wins.

This is only the second time anybody has won the Triple Crown and the first time that a UK poker player claimed poker's triple crown at the WSOP.  De Wolfe was playing in his third ever Pot Limit Omaha High-Low event adding even more to the achievement.  From a field of 198 players De Wolfe won his way through to the final table along with WSOP bracelet winners Alexander Kravchenko and Scott Clements and then displayed skill and determination to win his second WSOP bracelet.  Speaking after the win the 29 year old UK Poker player, DeWolfe said “I was obviously the least experienced player of the final three.  I knew I had to use my spots to gamble and had to go in with hands….I couldn't just sit there and chip away."

This year the World Series of Poker has drawn the biggest number of entrants so far with many of the players winning their seats playing through online poker sites via satellites.  Often these players have played free poker tournaments and freerolls to win their way to Vegas.  Some of the sites that offer free online poker entry to the WSOP include; William Hill Poker, VC Poker, UltimateBet, Party Poker, Poker Stars and True Poker.
