Shane Warne Misses the Ashes for the World Series of Poker
Instead of taking his seat alongside the likes of Ian Botham, David Gower and Nasser Husain in the Sky Sports commentary box Shane Warne misses the Ashes for the World Series of Poker Main Event. The blonde haired Australian spin-bowling legend was in Las Vegas building his chip stack in the No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em Main Event. There were 6,494 players, the third largest ever for the WSOP, who paid the $10,000 buy-in for the first round. As this will give the winner a massive $8.5 million it is unlikely that Warne will throwing his chips away in a hurry to get back to the UK. 11th July 2009 Back to Poker News Article Last Updated: 25/05/2010 13:36:51 |
