With the continuing success of PokerStars live poker tours across the world, especially in the UK and Ireland, PokerStars has added another poker tour to the calendar, the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT).  This great new date for your poker calendar will be a shot in the arm for many current UK poker tours and events.

As with all PokerStars sponsored live poker events you can qualify to play in the UK & Ireland Poker Tour by playing online poker at PokerStars.  There are literally dozens of ways to enter, with buy-ins starting from $2.22 or 111 frequent player points for regular satellite tournaments and $7.50 of 500 frequent player points for the step qualifying routes.

The dates and buy-ins of the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour are as follows:

• December 11th to 14th – Radisson Hotel, Galway.  Buy in: €2,000
• February 11th to 14th 2010 – G Casino, Manchester.  Buy-in: £500 + £50
• April 8th to 11th 2010 – G Casino, Coventry.  Buy-in: £500 + £50
• May 13th to 16th 2010 – Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham.  Buy-in: £500 + £50
• June 24th to 27th 2010 – Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney.  Buy-in: €1,000 + €100
• July 15th to 18th 2010 – Rendezvous Casino, Brighton.  Buy-in: £1,000 + £100
• September 9th to 12th 2010 Burlington Hotel, Dublin.  Buy-in: €1,000 + €100
• October 2nd to 8th 2010 Metropole Hotel, London.  Buy-in: £5,000 + £300

It is also proposed that there will be a Scottish leg of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour between the Brighton and Dublin dates but the details are still being confirmed.


If the UK & Ireland Poker Tour has even half the success of other PokerStars sponsored poker tours it will be a very popular and well managed tour. There is also the possibility that some of the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour events could be televised, adding to the excitements and raising the profile of the latest live poker tour from the world’s leading poker site, PokerStars.
