There are two different types of points to be earned while playing at PokerStars, VIP Player Points and Frequent Player Points.  VIP Player Points are used to determine your VIP player status.  Each time you earn one VPP you will also earn one or more Frequent Player Points based on your VIP level giving you anywhere from 1 Frequent Player Point per VIP Point earned for Bronze VIP’s all the way up to 5 Frequent Player Points per VIP Point earned for Supernova Elite players.

• When playing at PokerStars cash tables you are awarded VIP Player Points for the amount of rake taken from each hand played.  One VIP Player Point is awarded for playing a hand where the rake reaches $0.40, a further point is awarded for playing a hand where the rake reaches $2.00 and third point is awarded if the rake reaches $5.00 or more.
