Party Poker Pro Team

Online poker giant Party Poker have announced that they are recruiting a Party Poker Pro Team to compete at major poker events.  They have already announced the signing of Ian ‘The Raiser’ Frazer, Felipe ‘Mojave’ Ramos and Remy Biechel and will be joined by VIPs, loyal players and players with historic links to Party Poker.

With the exception of site ambassador, World Poker Tour announcer and poker professional Mike Sexton who is also an advocate for National Poker Week, Party Poker have avoided the player sponsorship market.  But now they have shown their intention to assemble a world beating poker team by signing UK poker player Ian Frazer, a 50 year old building contractor from London who has over $1.3 million in poker wins to his name.  The signing of Frazer was quickly followed by Felipe Ramos who is a well known 26 year old Brazilian from the Latin American poker circuit and Remy Biechel, a 40 year old French poker player who is a member of Party Poker’s VIP Palladium Lounge and is currently in Las Vegas at the WSOP attempting to add to his $850,000 total lifetime winnings.

Party Poker will be sponsoring players as it aims to build a ‘grassroots’ team made up of players from Party Poker's online poker site.  A Party Poker spokesperson said ‘We are looking for players that have shown themselves to have star quality in their play but who are also fun, humorous and possess a strong character.’

This is a big shot across the bow to all of the other online poker sites and statement of intent to the seasoned poker pros that have been overlooked by Party Poker as they assemble the Party Poker Pro Team.  Party Poker is the 4th biggest online poker room in the world so they will have plenty of talent to choose from when selecting their squad.  To join the action at Party Poker simply follow the link above and who knows, maybe one day you could be a Party Poker pro.
