Multi-tabling while playing online poker

There are many differences between playing live poker games and online poker games.  One of the most noticeable differences is mutli-tabling while playing online poker, something which is impossible to do while playing in live poker games.  You couldn’t exactly run from one poker room to another between hands now could you?

Playing more than one game of poker simultaneously is commonly referred to as ‘multi-tabling.’  This simply means playing more than one game of online poker at the same time.  Some top online poker professionals play ten or twelve poker games at once allowing them to win even more prize money and also earn enormous bonuses at poker sites such as PokerStars, Party Poker, Full Tilt, UltimateBet, InterPoker and many more.  There are online poker professionals that manage to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars every year from multi-tabling.

Although online poker multi-tabling can make you some serious cash and earn you some big poker bonuses it comes with it’s drawbacks.  If you play online poker for the interaction with the other players and to experience the thrill and the buzz of the game then multi-tabling may not be for you as an awful lot of the passion and fun of the game will be replaced by mechanics and maths.  Another point worth making is that unless you’re multi-tabling free poker games you will be wagering much more of your money.  For example, instead of wagering $2 + $0.25 on one nine-player sit ‘n go you would be wagering $22.50 if you were multi-tabling ten poker games at once.
