Luke Schwartz banned from the European Poker Tour

Outspoken online poker pro Luke Schwartz has been banned from the European Poker Tour for the remainder of the season after he had a ‘heated argument’ with staff at a five-star London hotel over paying for a sandwich and this isn’t the first time that the online poker player has been reprimanded at a live poker event.

Luke “_FullFlush1” Schwartz is one of the most outspoken people in the world of poker.  The UK poker player was last week quoted as calling high-stakes poker pro, Tom Dwan a ‘spastic’ and an ‘arrogant social retard’.  In his latest outburst maverick Schwartz had to be escorted from London’s Hilton Metropole by security staff after he was asked to pay for the sandwich he had ordered.  Schwartz claimed he was entitled to the sandwich for free as a VIP customer but the casino management thought otherwise.  An argument broke out and Schwartz discovered that the management weren’t bluffing when he was ejected from the premises and promptly banned from all future EPT events this year.

This display of questionable behaviour from online poker pro Schwartz come just weeks after he was banned from London’s Vic Casino for refusing to remove his hat.  This meant that his friend Eddie Hearn had to vouch for him to the European Poker Tour to get the ban overturned, allowing him to be present to get another ban!

Perhaps live poker events aren’t the best place for Mr Schwartz.  With his impressive online poker record, which kicked off when he won PokerStars Sunday Million in 2007, and his recent live poker mishaps maybe he should stick to playing at online poker sites where he can wear his hat but will still have to buy his sandwiches, unless his Mum gets them for him.
