During recent weeks high-stakes poker prodigy, Tom Dwan has lost phenomenal amounts of cash playing at the high-stakes online poker tables at Full Tilt. However, this can simply be put down to the massive variance experienced when playing online poker. You can’t win all of the time but you can make sure that when you win you win as much as possible through successful betting and when you lose you lose as little as possible with careful bankroll management, something that Dwan has become an expert at.
Dwan started Friday night by playing Ilari Sahamies and Cole South at heads-up $200/$400 pot-limit Omaha where he won over $440,000. Dwan then switched his attention to his newly found nemesis, Isildur1. The two online poker players went head-to-head playing $300/$600 no-limit- Texas holdem where Dwan emerged victorious winning $340,000 in 250 hands of poker. Dwan then challenged Finnish online poker pro Sahamies to another 50 hands of $300/$600 pot-limit Omaha in a move which saw Dwan walk away $228,000 better off.
Later that evening Patrik Antonius and Dwan then sat down for another slogging session as part of their 50,000 hand $1 million online poker marathon. During this latest instalment of high-stake poker madness Dwan lost just under $68 000 but still leaving him $711 556 ahead overall in the online poker challenge.
