Day five of PokerStars WCOOP

PokerstarsPokerStars World Championship of Online Poker is in full-swing with even more excitement than ever.  We’ve already seen big names like Joe Hachem and Barry Greenstein failing to cash in dramatic fashion.  By the end of day five of PokerStars WCOOP this morning 13 events had been won and over $14 million had been awarded.

By day five of PokerStars WCOOP the players were entering the events in droves from far and wide. So far there have been over 32,000 individual players taking part in this year’s WCOOP from 134 different countries across the world.  The overall cash winners are coming from various countries too.  The top 10 cash finishers in PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker currently contains Swedish, French, Finnish, US, Spanish, Slovakian, and UK poker players with the current cash leader being Sumpas from Sweden who won Event #10, the $10,300 No Limit Holdem (High Roller) game in which Sumpas took home $611,761.65, enough to give them a $160,000 lead at the top of the current top 10 cash finishers leaderboard.

You still have a chance to qualify for events at this year’s WCOOP by playing the online poker satellites available in the many different game variations being played at PokerStars.  Head over to the PokerStars lobby and look for the ‘events’ tab then find the ‘WCOOP’ tab and there you will find all of the WCOOP satellites listed.
