2010 World Series of Poker is well underway

The action kicked off on Friday the 28th of May and just over a week into the championships the 2010 World Series of Poker is well underway with ten events having already been decided.  Over the next month there will be a further 47 poker events started and all but one of them decided with millions of dollars of prizes to be won during this year’s poker showcase.

The World Series of Poker began at the Horseshoe Casino, Las Vegas way back in 1970 with less than 50 poker tables and a select handful of the world’s best poker players.  40 years later the World Series of Poker has grown to become a poker extravaganza featuring the very best poker players from across the planet who come to do battle at the poker tables for millions of dollars in prize money and those sought after WSOP gold bracelets.
